It was a pleasure to meet Brad and Holly they were young vivacious and so in love. I am really looking forward to being a part of their special day and having the opportunity to capture the memories. I think the world is now a better place because these two are together.

Brad McMillan Bodybuilder

I was fortunate enough to be asked to assist in the photoshoot of Brad McMillan, owner of Pure Fitness Gym in Canning Vale ( Thanks Dean ) Brad brought his wife Loretta and kids, Portia and Blade for the shoot. Brad had the state Bodybuiling championships yesterday and from memory came second. Brads wife Loretta was a former Bodybuilder and competed in the Worlds.

Brad McMillan, owner of Pure Fitness Gym in Canning Vale, is also a competitive bodybuilder. I had the opportunity to photograph Brad just after Saturday’s State competition (thanks Dean!), and to mix things up a bit, Brad brought his wife Loretta and kids, Portia and Blade for the shoot.

Unlike previous bodybuilding shoots, which pretty much begins with the sitter going through his sets, we started this session with a family portrait session. Brad and Loretta’s kids are a dream to work with — they’re excited, very camera-friendly and a lot of fun. Brad wanted some photos of himself and Loretta as a couple next, something a bit tasteful, but which also showed their shared history in the world of competitive bodybuilding (Loretta was a world class champion in female bodybuilding).

Finally, we were ready for the real thing. Unfortunately, Brad had left his posing trunks to dry on the Hills Hoist at home! Not to worry; he stripped down to his jocks, tucked in the waistband, and away we went.

Children @ Play

We spend so much time saying kids dont play like we used too! Is it really because of the modern technology, or is it just that we dont allow them to get outside and get filthy. Every time you turn around these days you see “kills 99.9% of Germs” – Antibacterial this/that. Maybe we should just let them be kids – even if they get a little tummy upset from it!

Exhibition Visit

This morning a small group of photographers had breakfast at Breaks Cafe in Fremantle. I have a  picture on exibit there at the moment so if you are in the area call into  85 High Street!

“Ares & Aphrodite” Exhibition

This exhibition will be at Breaks Cafe, 85 High Street, Fremantle, starting from 3^rd September and running until the end of November.

South West Trip

I had some time away from the city last weekend and WOW I had forgotten how beautiful it was and how much I needed some time out! We booked a Chalet in Bussleton at the Mandalay Caravan Park which I highly recommend, and then made daily trips around the coast. Bussleton was great as it was only a 50 minute drive to Augusta which was our furthest destination.
